What if none of the available ride times work with my schedule?
You can call, text, email or send a message through the website to request a different time. We want to make riding with us convenient for you! Lessons are available weekday afternoons and one day on the weekend.
Can I get the classes paid for by my Charter School?
Yes! We are a preferred vendor for INSPIRE Charter Schools.
Can I "share" a lesson to save money?
No. The lesson cost is per person. Lessons are held in semi-private groups from 1 - 3 riders. You can ride with a friend but each student must pay separately for the lesson.
Do you have restrooms and showers like a gym?
Yes! We have modern plumbed restrooms and showers so you can clean up after your ride and head off to work feeling fresh. See the FACILITIES page for more info.
Do I have to saddle the horse myself?
Only horsemanship classes include saddling and grooming lessons. Other classes require the rider to know how to saddle the horse indepedently.
Do you offer Trail Rides?
Yes. Riders start out in the arena and must be able to independently control their horse before we ride onto the trails.
What times are available?
Check the CLASSES page for availability by clicking on the "BOOK" button. Currently we offer lessons weekdays. We alternate Saturdays and Sundays offering lessons all day.
How do I reserve my ride time?
Choose your class on the CLASSES page. Click BOOK to see available ride times. You can also call, text or email us for more info.
What do I wear?
We can lend you a helmet, but it is best to bring your own helmet if you have one. You must wear long pants and boots or closed toed shoes. Yoga pants are great. Do not wear Jeans with rhinestones or ’bling’ on the pockets or they will scratch the saddle. Closed toed shoes with a SMALL heel (like a boot) are required.
Should I arrive early?
Yes, come 10 - 15 minutes prior to your lesson time to sign in, use the restroom and pull on your boots and helmet. If you're tacking up, you'll want to come 30-45 minutes early.
What payment types do you accept?
We accept PayPal, credit and debit cards online.
We only accept CASH in person at the ranch.
No personal checks are accepted for monthly training dues.
Do I need to bring anything?
Bring a helmet if you have one. You may also want to bring water, a hat, sunscreen and some carrots or apples for your horse.
Can I just show up at the ranch and ride?
No. We are a private barn with a gated entrance, which requires a code to enter. Appointments are required to ride.
Do you have a weight limit?
Yes. At the moment our weight limit is 225 lbs. We have 2 lesson horses who can carry up to 225 lbs, the other 2 lesson horses are ponies who can carry 150 to 165 lbs.
Can I "share" a lesson with a friend?
No. The lesson cost is per person. You can ride in the same lesson with a friend but each rider must pay the lesson fee.
Is there anything else to do at the ranch?
We have fainting goats. They are fun to pet and feed. You can visit the other horses and miniature donkeys on the property. There are miles of hiking trails right off the property to the beach.
Can I feed the horses?
You can feed your own pony. We allow apples and carrots. Please do not feed the other horses, as some of them have allergies.
What happens to my booking deposit if I don’t show up for my class?
The booking deposit guarantees that there will be a coach and a horse waiting for you at the specified time. We have blocked this time off just for you and reserved a horse. If you don’t show up, the deposit is forfeit. Online deposits are non-refundable unless the ranch cancels to due weather or other unforeseen circumstance. Please let us know 24 hours in advance if you can’t make it and we will try to reschedule.
Do I have to fill out paperwork when I arrive?
Each rider must fill out a liability release. You can download it at the bottom of the page. You may print it out and bring it with you to save time.
We're excited to get you started!
